      That's pretty intense. I wonder if I can get a 1.6L m10 made for under $500 that way.

        you might need to make 5000 unit sales before unit price droped that low.

        You do realize that the Raw chunk of billet is around 500.

            Very badass. I run a 4-Axis Okuma Mill, which is a baby compared to that thing. Beastly!

                I am having to learn the Okuma controls...coming from a long Haas backround, I find my asking questions alot. I am going to school to be a programer, screw being on the floor. 10 years is enough for me.

                    We have 2 Haas lathes that another guy runs (a TL1 and brand new SL30) and I feel the same way, except towards Haas. The Okuma controls (OSP-P200M) that has Windows XP is less of a PITA compared to the Haas (which is MS-DOS based, I believe?), which I think is slightly more troublesome.

                    I actually program and run the machine. Mostly aircraft tubing, so the programs are relatively simple.
