A short clip of a pornographic movie cut into a Comcast broadcast of the Super Bowl in homes in and around Tucson.
Officials at Comcast confirmed that its signal was interrupted during the Super Bowl, but the company is still working to figure out how porn broke into its cable feed.


Engineers at Comcast will be working throughout the night to determine what happened, said Kelle Maslyn, a Comcast spokeswoman.
The Star newsroom erupted with calls from irate viewers shortly after 7:30 p.m. who said that the porn cut into the broadcast just after Cardinals player Larry Fitzgerald scored a touchdown on a pass from Kurt Warner to give the Cardinals the lead with less than two minutes in the game.


Callers said that the clip showed a woman unzipping a man's pants and included full frontal male nudity.
The porn broke into the standard definition feed reaching analog TV sets. Comcast's high definition feed was not affected. Maslyn did not know how many homes were affected.


The Super Bowl was being shown locally on KVOA. Officials at KVOA are not commenting at this time.
Comcast is the second-largest cable television provider in Southern Arizona and serves more than 80,000 customers in unincorporated Pima County, Marana and Oro Valley.

Yes, it happened. Comcast had an "equipment malfunction" that they're still trying to figure out. About 80,000 customers on the East side got the special show. I think either someone hacked in, or a disgruntled employee pulled the ultimate "fuck you" on his way out the door. Made Janet Jackson's boob look like the Barney show. Nothing too spectacular, though; just some hot chick pulling the dude's half-mast wang (OK, it WAS a big wang) out of his pants, and then he waggled it around in her face.
