The ending is almost exactly the same. They just took out the giant alien squid. I don't think it's going to affect it that much.

I agree with Josh.

I think that comics and graphic novels can get away with a lot more and can be somewhat silly sometimes, for lack of a better word, without detracting from the seriousness of the work. Movies are scrutinized much more and I feel like if they included a giant squid at the end of a movie with a serious tone, people will just laugh at it and it wont be taken as seriously. Same thing goes for the Nightowl's costume. If they kept his suit identical with the way it looked in the novel, people would be laughing and walking out of the theater. I think Snyder is making the right move by making slight changes.

i read the graphic novel. its pretty cool. i think the movie looks like it will be pretty sweet as well. definitely seeing in IMAX.

Only the people tat know of it will make any connection. That's limiting the film. It was the same bullshit for the movie Congo, and it bombed...of course it was a bad movie though.
