Mind you I am still a Brasilian citizen and wish the best for my country and people, but this has nothing to do with that. With that said Brasilian citizens living in the US still pay taxes. I for sure do. I'm speaking strictly as a tax payer.

Not necessarely true. You can't go to the bank for a mortgage on a new house, and spend the money on strippers. Bank could ask for an immediate refund. Same with the rescue money. GM got it only to save jobs in the US. The same way Obama's office is requiring to limit companies' presidents' salaries to a ceiling as a condition to receive a loan...
