      I dont see the 2200 listed for Service Tag DL1KY61.
      I do see that its an Inspiron 6000 so I know I have the right tag.

      The only drivers Dell offers for your machine are miniPCI card wireless devices.

          Oh wait...

          Did you reinstall the operating system?
          In the Device Manager, do you see any devices listed without drivers?

          Email me a screen shot of the Device manager with the Network section expanded..

          And some of your full desktop or system tray.

                  thanks for the help guys.. looks like the wireless card was removed?
                  the intel PROSet/wireless says it was "unable to detect a supported wireless adapter. Please install a supported adapter"
