Anyone seen/heard of a fully functioning(Google account still working) unlocked G1 working on AT&T's 3G network? This is the combo I want but Im having a damned time confirming that it's an option right now.

Why would you want a G1 on att? imo the G1 is not that great, played with a few that my friends have and think the Iphone is a much better product. Just my .02 cents. But I imagine it is possible.

might be possible, but seems pretty stupid to me when the superior device for att is the iphone, and you can get one for $200.
the g1 has not gotten great reviews. no multitouch, terrible battery, slow 3g performance, etc.Comment

hardly any. only super expensive phones like the nokia n-series, which you can't buy with contracts for a discount. oh, and vga = 640x480... you wont ever find that on a phone.
i dont know if you have used the iphone keyboard but it really isnt bad at all. it takes a bit of getting used to, but overall it is good.
if price isn't an issue, im pretty sure the n-series phones are the only phones that have a physical keyboard, not winmo, and a high-res screen.Comment

I havn't seen a G1 work on any provider other than tmobile. If you like att's service and coverage get the IPHONE!

tmobile uses umts 2100/1700. at&t uses the NA standard which is 2100/1900, so no.sigpicComment
