Possibly going back to my old department - but this time I'll be responsible for 70 employees. I don't know what to make of it.
Anyone in here ever manage that many people?
Will you have 70 direct reports or are there other levels between you and the 70. Also what is the work? Are they salary, hourly, union, etc employees? Over how many shifts?
I worked at Disney for 8 years, the year I left I had 500+ employees but had levels between me and them.
You can do it, will take some time to adjust. Pm me if you would like some recommendations on books to help.
