        Did you do it one string at a time, or did you take all 6 off then restring it? Your LP is a fixed bridge right?

                  When you first string a guitar the strings will yield quite a bit(or in other words stretch and go out of tune real fast). Just play it out of tune for a couple minutes and don't be shy...bend/strum the hell out of them) then retune and you should be fine.

                  Once you do that you've effectively strain-hardened your strings and you won't go out of tune any more often than normal.
