dude, who do yo think pays the interest and principal on these debts? the treasury issues the bonds, countries like china buy 'em, and you and me (well maybe me cause i'm not sure you pay taxes) pay higher taxes to make all the payments to those countries. it comes out of our collective pockets, the private sector.
what do your profs teach you?
all taxes diminish private economic activity. this is a big reason why this so called stimulus is not going to have any lasting effect stimulating, but will in fact have a lasting effect on slowing our country's GDP well into the future.

I was disappointed by Obama team in his speech, but he's yet to do anything I disagree with. Even his Iraq policy changed after taking office, who knows what else changed.

It is. If I wanted to live in a socialist country I'd move, however, I prefer capitialism.

Get back to us in a few years when you are actually working and watching the gov't take more than a third of your pay and piss it down the drain. By doing things like bailing out irresponsible fuckheads who bought houses they couldn't afford while you continue to rent and save up a downpayment so you can be a RESPONSIBLE citizen, instead of asking for help.
