Cuba is to the Canadian as Puerto Rico is to Americans. It's their escape destination, and it's completely devoid of US citizens to pick on them.

No it's not. South Florida is. During winter time, 1 out of 10 cars here are from Canada. I see Ontario and Quebec plates like there's no tomorrow. Sadly enough they manage to make the road rage in South Florida even worse.

My grandmother was Cuban (i guesss she still is) and a quarter of me want's to go there and drink coffee. The othe three quarters of me wants to eat pasta and drink Guinness.... Guess which part will win.

When I was in Daytona for spring break last year, Ontario plates where the most common. It's the province of silver minivans.

the coffee there was amazing, along with some spaghetti i had and pizza at this little place down the block from where we stayed. $2.50 for a pizza bigger than your plate.

I will make the trip someday. Did you leave Havana? Most tourists are not allowed outside city limits...

I stayed in Varadero but did take the day trip to Havana, which was like a 2 hour bus ride.
