in situations like this there is no right answer. situational awareness IS the key. but when the situation presents itself, i personally would rather have a gun and i will make sure the f'er is DEAD. because "dead men tell no tales".

as far as the witness goes in the case of shooting someone to kill them for attacking you, there is no right answer so you better pray that they see what provoked you to pull, draw down and kill that person. again situational awareness is key.

In situation 3 they would be dead, because like you said "dead men tell no tales" and I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. But in a close in deal like that where its 3 on 1 drawing on them, and they try #3 you still may end up on the loseing end of that deal, but make dam sure you take 1 or 2 with you at least.

The intricate fake situations you all come up with are absolutely hilarious. The chances of this happening are so low its not even worth talking about.

In that instance the POS criminal trying to assault, rob, rape, etc you WAY more than likely has priors on their record. Due to these marks on their record the case would be open and closed in trial. The judge would basically see a person that's in and out of trouble finally crossed the wrong person and paid for it immediately.

A witnesses isn't even worth bringing up because there probably wouldn't be one. Crimes like these are rarely committed in front of many people and if one person did see it they either aren't sticking around or they wont be willing to give a statement and go to court. Then its your word vs the criminals... who do you think going to win? I saw this numerous times when I worked for the government.


sidenote: if you know how to use a knife one of two things would happen. 1. You pull it and the criminal decides its not worth it or 2. the witness sees the attacker initiate contact, a quick struggle, then the attacker laying down trying to figure out why they are in pain.

One of my friend, who is a little dossil and would never hurt a fly, got mugged and beat senseless one time walking home from a night of hanging out at my house. Turns out the guy was in our english class from like 3 years prior (I was out of highschool by this time and this kid was a moron then and still is), and I knew where he lived. Me and a couple buddies went to his house, no weapons, just some good ol fistacuffs and had the little bitch on his front lawn appologizing infront of his parents 30 minutes later.

If I ever get into a fight (Which is very rare and i'll never throw the first punch) I have a hard time hitting people in the face, I can't bring myself to do it. The video is just sick.

I forgot to say, last year my mate got beat up walking into church. i kid you not his hand was on the church door and 3 guys jump out of a bush next to the door, the last one has a baseball bat and they started to beat the crap outa him. a couple guy and i inside ran forward to the door and the dickhead ran away. We chased them but the got into the trees and we lost them.

My mate got hit in the head 4 times with the bat and he knocked one of the other guys teeth out. His shirt was ripped to shreds from them holding him, he had blood all over his clothes from the cut on his head we called the cops, locked the church up, checked if any cars in the carpark were damaged.
Reading between the lines the cops basically said we're not going to do anything about this. the thing that really pisses me off is we know who they are, but we have no way of proving it was them, they used to go to my school and we see them at parties all the time, but now they leave when we get to parties. dont exactly know why lol

Has anyone wondered why car insurance was much higher for males under 25? The reason comes from medical domaine. From about 13 and to the average age of 25, boys are subjected to a chemical warfare in their brains. The brains restructure itself, emptying from the all the basic learning stuff that was acquired as a baby, flushing it, and making itself ready to accept more complexe data in a more complex structure. That restructuration has a major drawback for some. Some kids, especially around 14-15 and up to 18 are kinda lost in their head. Unclear thinking structure, no analysis, they can't even control themselve. Last year my (then) 14 year old son told me he was sometimes like a passenger in his own brains. He wanted to say things, have thoughts, but just couldn't. His brains were just too foggy. Brains were in transformation. But it is not all lost, it usually gets much better around 16.

So, obviously, this is not an excuse for such violent acts as demonstrated in the video, but kinda explains why some kids do really foolish things that are not understandable from adults.

It was pretty scary to watch. I've actually been in a very similar situation: 4 guys on an empty street in NYC trying to surround me at 2am. I was "armed" with a knife (frame-locking Benchmade 750 Pinnacle). I got out of the situation just by showing them I knew what was going on and was willing to put up a fight. They backed down and the whole thing was over before it started.

I carry a knife and wouldn't hesitate a second to use it if someone started fucking with me. Even just pulling a knife will get the dumb fucks off of you.

Brandishing the knife is about the stupidest thing you can do. You've just given up the primary advantage of having a knife.

I agree with you in most circumstances. Most criminals looking to rob you on the street arent looking for tough marks. Thats why they usually avoid larger and more aware individuals, its just not worth their time especially if they dont know the person or if they have anything of real value on them anyway. If you felt threatened by someone and they closed distance and you pulled a knife and put some space between you, yes you have taken away some of your advantage, but how willing would the average criminal be to close that distance?

thats where situational awareness comes in. you have to pay attention to whats going on. when i'm out with my chick and i hear footsteps behind me, you're goddamn right i'm going to look.

how does a carry permit make you more of a target? concealed, right? concealed carry means concealed! nobody knows who has a gun or who doesn't. that's the brilliance of concealed carry laws. the bad guys have to roll the dice and hope the guy they're mugging isn't armed and prepared to fight back.
