BMX Bikes ARE fixed..... I don't understand this statement.

I ride park/street BMW, got two bikes, and a funload of guns. Not into fixies personally.

Do you mean to say that there are a lot of BMX guys switching over to fixed gear instead? All BMX bikes are fixed, I have never seen one with gears.

Most BMX bikes are singlespeed. Not fixed. You can coast on a singlespeed.

Oh now I look stupid. So you can't coast on a fixed? The crank/pedals are always moving?

                Thank you, Chris.

No Tom, you cannot coast on a fixed gear. They are direct drive 100% of the time. The rear cog is anchored to the hub with a lock ring. If the wheels are turning, the pedals are moving. Period. No pedalling backwards, no coasting. The truest, most efficient form of cycling.

                  Best night ever.

It sounds really uncomfortable to ride a fixed gear if you have to constantly be pedaling... How do you go down huge hills?

I imagine the guy in this picture (see below) goes to sleep at night dreaming about shooting some meth-crazed minority that's trying to break into his house. It just seems funny to me that there probably is not anything in his house that anyone would actually want to break-in to take except for his guns. It also seems that if he were to sell those guns, he could afford to fix his house up to the point where it might be worth breaking into. I guess the solution for him might be to sell just a few of his guns so that he could at least get some hardwood floors to replace that depressing carpet? That way when his dog does drop a duke on the floor, it'll be easier to clean and his place might not smell like it looks.

edit: if that picture happens to be of anyone here's family, I apologize.

That's where it gets fun. You charge down them, resist with your legs if you have to. Skid if you must, or just jam a foot onto your rear tire.
                          tasty

You don't. You toss it on the top of your car or chain it up outside the club at whatever shitty band is playing at the moment.

Swing wild, brake later, don't apologize.

lol your elitism with fixed bikes is quite frankly hilarious.

How is it more efficient than riding a bike that has multiple gears allowing you to get the most out of the bike? How is it more efficient to continuously pedal downhill whilst wasting an astounding amount of energy instead of coasting...

Your logic is skewed. And also, how is it the "Truest" form of biking. From the looks of it, it seems to be another emo fad. I guess anything to be unique is cool. Tight jeans, and capris FTL.

Oh and I'll be waiting for you angry curse filled reply.

Oh and more pics of the guns vs fixd please!
