Paypal sent, never got what I paid for.

I sent a paypal for $25 last Monday, and I have gotten no response from the recipient after 8 days. I have sent 4 follow up emails, and still no response. Any idea how to get my money back?

Oh by the way, I sent my money to benefit the kids of a guy who died of cancer who was on e30 tech. This is supposed to allow me to post on e30tech. I donate time and money to other organizations, but I get the feeling these kids are being exploited. How do I know my money is really going to them? I want to get the money back, and donate it to the education fund started by their Grandfather.
