See what you need to do is get some waders. Get that sum'bitch up on top of a cliff facing the edge and put its back feet in the waders. At this point, it'll be so scared of falling off the cliff its gonna back up into your powerstrokes. Grabbing onto the fur also increases efficiency of your hip gyrations.

On a serious note, the coyotes up in MA tend to be most active at dawn and at dusk. We go out with our night vision and flash for eyes, then look with the goggles. Git sum.

so whats good with this shit? the coyote missing its head? I got a pitbull thats scared of everything. never bit anyone unless you came after my mom. hes very very very protective of her.

somehow my pit managed to catch and crush rabbits. i do not know how he caught them...at all. if im not mistaken he is about 85-90 pounds.

not a total failure steve. having him out of the area is almost as good, you just get no taste of vengence.

i just hit one a couple of miles south of my house (still in a very urban area) in north Tempe. it crossed the road just infront of me on McKellips & 68th st. i couldn't accelerate fast enough for a good hit, but still caught it with the corner of my bumper. sadly it just kept going, no damage to my car though.

it was just crusing the "hood" for cats, small dogs, & stupid people who leave their pet food outside.

i f'ing hate seeing them in the urban areas because i know what they are doing and you can't shoot them

you are the man. i have tons of coyotes around where i live, then again its almost all woods. tons of fisher cats too. when it comes to small animals, i love them. i keep hoping it'll eat my neighbors dog because its one of the fucking annoying ass little dogs that yap. fuck. my friend and i found mountain lion tracks in his woods one time, that was crazy. i say set up a trap, trap it and have some fun with. taste that sweet vengance.

as a result of all this i have completed stage two of compound fortification. the security grid had been reinforced with 3 feet high welded wire attached to the already in place 7' high deer fence surrounding the woods. the dingos had chewed holes in the deer fence allowing my dogs out of the compound and coyotes in. i can now let the dogs run free without worrying too much. i still dont let them out unsupervised at night because i think if the coyotes wanted them he could get over that fence regardless

keep an eye on your dogs when they are outside. i have seen a coyote easily clear a 9' fence from a standing jump. if they want in, they will find a way.

topping what you have now with some razor wire is about as good as you can get.

^that should make for a really messy morning.

One of those fucking things got my cat, 3 days later I got a lung shot and blew another head out with a Marlin lever action 30/30. 30/30's are great for coyotes, accurate quick reloads, and powerful enough to topple them. The lung shot was after the head, he tried to run after he saw his buddy drop, I got him through the shoulder blade, it just shattered that fuck, he face planted.

If you are going to do this, don't lure them in to your yard. I don't know if you have woods in the back that your dogs don't go in, but if so bait them there. Get a hurt rabbit call, they come running in for that. One of my buddies is an exterminator for an apple orchard (he rides on a golf cart with a .17 and kills everything inside the fence) he says he get coyotes in there all the time because of the screaming varmints. He plinks them with a .22 or .17, he just goes for front chest or spines while they're eating. He hates them because he's paid per carcass and they take off running with dead woodchucks and shit.
