So, bumpity bump to this thread... cuz I haz a question!

I currently use a BB Curve and have been itching to jump to the Bold. But I just got an offer for the iPhone from my provider that sounds pretty nice to me. I am an iPhone hater, but I do love the features the phone has to offer. Anyone think I should wait and try to cop a good deal on a Bold or jump on the iPhone offer?

They are super cheap now for the 8gb. I got a 16gb cause I rip multiple movies onto it when I fly, and carry lots of photos and music..

Hmm... something to consider I suppose. I do travel a lot for work, and airplane rides get boring. I hate to open my laptop up just to watch movies and shit. Watching it on the phone would def be more convenient.

Did it take much to get used to the touchscreen? Because that is the one thing that I think I will hate, and I don't know if it will grow on me or not.

Also, on that note, I heard that there was supposed to be some update that allowed you to rotate the phone horizontally and type? Is that for real? I don't know shit bout them, so excuse my ignorance.

V.3 of the software will allow Landscape typing. Coming this summer sometime...

How many of those kids are paying for their Mac iBook?

When they get into the real world and have to buy their own stuff, I doubt they'll be buying overpriced hardware with an O/S that doesn't run a lot of apps.

wat.. mac has way more useful apps. most windows stuff is on mac already. and if it isnt you can bootcamp or parallel.

A lot of companies still don't make/sell shrink-wrapped software titles for Macs.

I'm talking about titles that a typical end-user would buy at Walmart or Target.

Most of these companies don't want to Dev/Code/QA/Support a title that is going to be bought by only about 5% of the market because they don't make money on it.

I used to work for a company that does a lot of entertainment, educational and desktop publishing titles and they stopped developing for Macs because they were losing money on it.

Just got a black 16 gig and I love it! I think it is awesome i can record 0-60, 1/4 mile times and g forces when cornering just from my phone. This thing can seriously do everything.
