I used PDANet when I was jailbroken, at the moment I'm running the AT&T 4.0 Carrier file which enables MMS and Tethering support.

Nice. I was under the impression that ATT may be charging more on top of the data plan for the tethering. This didn't make sense to me, and may have been just a rumor. So they didn't charge you more for it?

Yeah, I'm aware of that. James had said that he somehow got them early by saying he's a beta tester. I've heard that when they do work that ATT may charge more on top of the regular data plan.

Since he's had them working, I was wondering if he had to pay more or not.

the internet tethering option is pretty cool plus it works over bluetooth too... all around good upgrade to the 3.0 software as well as a new product. imo.

Well I got to my local AT&T store at 7am with the rest of preorder customers and was able to get in and out in 30 min (had to wait about 20)

So far the 3GS 32GB is a bit faster, the camera is wayyy better and the phone just seems nicer.

Huge upgrade over the 3G? No, but i upgrade phones every year due to regular wear and tear so it was probably time.

just wanted to mention that the screen on the iphone 3G S is "warmer" than the screen on the 3G. i tried to take a picture comparing the two, but it is indiscernable in the photo.
