My wife was watching Ellen today, and they showed the full-length trailer. Looks like it's going to be amazing. I'm really excited to see what kind of story they added to make it feature-length. The book seriously takes about 5 minutes to read out loud to my kid.

I honestly don't see any way for this movie to be bad. From what I saw in the trailer, and the fact that it had Spike Jonze at the helm, it's going to be epic.

Just reading a few things on IMDb, Maurice Sendak actually approached Spike Jonze about directing the film. It had been on the radar since the early 90's, but Sendak didn't think anyone was up to the task of directing it.

i DEFINITELY remember this book! looks awesome and the characters look just as i recall! brings me back, and i love that spike is directing it. definitely gonna see this!

although why release a trailer when its not out till fall? they did the same this with wall-e, took fucking goddamn forever to get into theatres
