    Humidity+2002=I hate life.

So I'ma blow off some steam here. Woke up today, went to the garage, the 2002 is COVERED in water. Humidity built up, condensation happened, etc etc. I could wipe my hand across and get a cup full of water off, that sort of situation. So, I get in, even the interior is soaked. (Garage door was open, window was open.) It doesn't start. It cranks, turns, battery good, etc. Great. That meant water a-la distributor. The engine bay was soaked just as badly...So I took that off, took it apart(not fully, honestly), wiped it, used a blowdrier on it, put it back on. Same thing. Turns, no fire. So I figure I probably flooded it, or the coil is dead. Took all the plugs out, tested for firing, they fired, let the engine sit open to get the fuel out of the cylinders if they were flooded, and wiped down the wires, sprayed lectramotive on em. Put it back in, still wouldnt start. And my battery died. Borrowed neighbors charger, took off fuel line leadin to carb, it had pressure. Great.

Let it sit for 30 minutes in sheer disbelief of having spark, power, air, and fuel without the engine working. Then I just got mad and cranked it literally for 45 seconds, and it finally just fired right up.

Thats right. I spent 3.5 hours and got back to exactly where I was before. And it's going to get humid again. God help this car if this happens to me repeatedly.

Cliffs notes: Engine wet. Didnt start. Then it started.

Store your car in your room, sleep in garage.

I'm sure if you get covered in water you'll still start.

close garage and window, if these options won't work buy a large tarp and cover the 2002.

                          cliff notes:
                          close garage, use car cover.

Hah, same thing happened with the engine in my e30 when it was parked out side and the remnants of Ike came by. I hope the interior dries out for you!
