Sounds good to me. Although the biggest misconception about socialism is that the government takes all your money, when in fact it wasn't yours to begin with.

The damn unions will not concede ANYTHING. How can they not see the writing on the wall. Take a paycut, keep your job and house. Put some food on the table for your family... no they will not do that.

Bankruptcy CLEARS them of the damn unions. You can bet there is a line millions deep waiting to work for 10-20 dollars an hour at GM. If GM wasn't forced to spend so much on labor and the cost of each car went down just from labor you could bet they could make a run to the front...

Unions are the leech on that company.

On a side note, when you single out "Bush" you sound like a moron. "Bush" didn't do anything alone. There are others with more direct blame but there is plenty to go around. Bush didn't force mortgage brokers to give loans for homes to couples making very little money. Bush didn't force anyone to combine those mortgages into a 'product' to sell to people as an investment. The list goes on and on. Give it up on the Bush blaming.
While I agree with everything you are saying about the Union's, it simply will NOT happen while a democrat and liberal house/congress is in power. These union's DONATE millions of support to the liberal cause. This has been the case since day one. This isn't just union's like GM either. It trickles down to small Union's like Albertson's (whom my wife is a part of) and even small one's like Bricklayers Union's. So when a major institution like GM is failing and SHOULD go bankrupt, the government steps in and rescues them.

The sad part is, people who are in the Union's don't really care about REAL politic's, only that they're getting a paycheck through the union so they will cast their vote for the libtards. Do I blame them? Not really because if it came down to voting for Obama so I could feed my family, I would probably do the same. It's a giant tangled mess of webs.

As for those of you who blame Bush, it's hypocicy at its best. Bush without a doubt was the most liberal spending president we have ever had (Until Obama of course). So if Bush's spending and policies got us in this mess, and Obama is continung down the SAME path, how stupid does that make you guys look for saying this is all Bush's fault and then casting your vote for Obama?

You voted along party lines, not for what is best for our nation. McCain had FAR better economic plans yet because he carries the GOP tag, you voted for an inexperienced-socialist retard. Good work fuckstains.

Actually, they asked for the money first when they flew their 50 million dollar jets to Washington and begged Congress for money. Remember that? Now that they have the money, it is no longer private business and the government can "interfere" all that it wants.

apparently it does, and it also apparently resides with little timmy geithner too, along with timmy's "right" to assign wage levels he feels are "fair". congress has just passed this authority.

and congress can pass any law it wants, such as retroactively punishing AIG execs, no matter the rule of law.

and all of this will stand until challenged by someone and eventually heard by the supremes.

the really scary part is that if it goes unchallenges, every subsequent pres will feel they have the "right" to continue on and do as they please no matter the constitution. this is scary when eventually we get someone in the presidency who really is a scoundrel.
