Those photos are very cool indeed - inspires me to travel to some of those places one day.

As for the lights out exercise, nothing more than a purely a symbolic gesture - the fringe environmentalists got to have their collective orgasm for the hour. A real, and sensible 'environmentalist' practices what they preach everyday: reduce power consumption, recycling, buying local, etc. Those people get my respect because they don't wait for a special day or moment to make a point - they are true to their cause.

Oh wait he's a former vice president with a full Secret Service staff living with him, in addition to his many employees who work out of an office at the aforementioned home. Oh and his wife's employees who also work out of the home.

TCPR has a boner for bashing Gore, so much so they are willing to sit outside of his house at night, which is more than a little creepy. This is the same group (I say group knowing full well that TCRP is run primarily by Mr. Drew Johnson from a PO box, supplemented by 3 secretaries, and five part time researchers) that said Gore uses 20 times the electricity of the average American home, which is wrong. They just happened to release this info the day after an inconvenient truth won an academy award.

Cool idea Earth Hour, too bad it won't mean anything. Raising awareness is nice and all, but we need action.
