I imagine there are quite a few actually but they are probably more specific. For example, a scholarship for people of Irish ancestry or Norwegian ancestry. I am just guessing because I haven't Google'd it or anything.

There are tons of scholarships for different ethnic groups which include Caucasians in there. My bro inlaw received an Irish-American scholarship, he found many out there wasn't that hard to find you just need a brain to look for them

There are scholarships that white males can apply for but how many scholarships are "Hispanic only" "African-American only" "Female only".
Besides the scholarship mentioned above I don't know of any scholarships for white males only or even white only. Please correct me if i am wrong.

If you are a white male, with good grades and any aptitude for writing a paper, there are literally dozens of scholarships you can apply for.


The reason you don't see it, is because it really isn't necessary.

My wife and I were discussing this only yesterday, I don't do well with Hipocracy, so my stance is, Why can't I be proud of my heritage without being labled a racist? (me Whitey)
thus far I have never heard an answer that is coherent or intelligent, I am just sort of supposed to sort of know why being proud of ones race is only bad when you are white...

You see us white peoples ancestors left europe and went forth to all the other places in the world and "took over" aka "stole" all the land from the indigenous peoples. You see it was the "brutality" of the colonials to bring these wild places under control, that is why we are all racists in the eyes of many. Our ancestors had the capability and the willingness (thanks in part to PROFIT) to go around the world and make it into what it is to day. What all the people around the world seem to forget is with out that 400 years of history playing out like it did we very likely would be NO WHERE near where we are today in most respects form space flight, to international business to the interwebz .

Then they continued control of many of these places until just very recently. Look at what has happened to the DRC (congo) since the Dutch pulled out let the natives have it back. The same is true for the bulk of Africa (Rwanda, Zaire, Libya etc...), our current president has a deep seated resentment for the British, based on what the British lead govt did to his grand father in kenya in the 50's. Look at many of the south American countries since all the Europeans left. Or how about the mid east................... since all that was given back to the natives after WWII, (after acquiring after WWI).

Any of you guys want to argue the injustices thats fine, I will just point to the USA, Canada, Australia, OZ, Hong Kong. All places that are in the top tiers of 1st world western countries (well Hong kong till 1999) all because they were not "given back to the natives" they won or were given their independence form European tied rule (hong kong is the exception to this but was left much to its own devices under the latter part of British rule).

We are seen as racists and evil whitey, because most of the ruling class around the world has been white, and it has been that way for 400+ years. In a lot of ways hate whitey has been a big part of the culture for many and has been passed on from 1 generation to the next, the rest of us are guilty by association . Then when the standards of living for all turn into a 3rd world nation or the govt becomes so corrupt, or tribal wars break out when its given back to the natives, this is also blamed on the colonials as well for leaving. This is one of the reasons we give so much in aid and yet the lions share of who gets it still hate us, (not just the USA but all the Whitey Nations) they think we owe them, thanks to their cultural surroundings.

Now lastly I am not saying that every thing the colonials did was right or even ok, some of it was down right reprehensible. But sitting here on computer 100+ years on looking through the rosy tint of modern standards of moral conduct, is akin to monday morning, quarter backing, or the old saying of hindsight being 20/20. Those 400 years were a brutal time for all involved and if any other group had their shit together as much as the Europeans they would have done the same. Little thing to think about China in the 1200's-1300"s had a massive navy and was starting to embark on much the same exploration journeys that the Europeans did in the late 1400's, but the emperor at the time pulled it back and dismantled the navy for what reasons I dont think we know (maybe we do Its been a long time since I read that book or saw the show pertaining to this). But where would we be if China had pulled this off 200 years earlier????

Sorry for the long OT but I hope this some what points you in the right direction as to WHY, there are more and modern reasons as well but this is where it all starts and sometime you have to go back to go forward.

I'm in the "equal rights means equal responsibility" camp. UNfortunately, most people want it both ways, whilst ignoring that programs like AA are institutionalized racism.

How many programs are available to minorities only, I can think of several in my area alone. Why is it that when a black individual is proud to be black he is respected for it, but when a white person is they are instantly labelled a racist?
