A logo needed - help apreciated

Favour to ask.

My friend owns a carshop. He generally fixes all cars (man's gotta support the family) but he specialises in mechanical tuning of BMWs - mostly E30s. 2,7 2,8 2,9 strokers, turbocharged, m50 and 4,0 swaps - it's all there.

I'm working on a logo for his shop - the name: DEVIL CAR MOTORSPORT (believe it or not, but relates to last name).

So after few turned down tries I came up with something simple like this (a quick one really):



He said it's generally ok, but some changes would be nice (of course he didn't mention what changes).

So - P-Shopers with some free time - can you help?

Things i would try,

bring the D and the C closer together
try a thicker text (and less artsy)
Keep the stroke on the text

Gotta be careful.... You don't want to accidently cop the DC Shoes logo. That would make you toy.
