I guess that doing a burnout in a crowd of people makes you the coolest person there. The only problem is that when the crowd is a bunch of douchebags, you are only the coolest douchebag. You still lose.

Hofstra has some great lots that are not used during the summer since we did not have a high attendance for the summer program and this was the furthest lot from the student center.

Circled in red is the hofstra lot where he set up his one man auto-x and circled in blue is where SCCA, BMWCCA, and PCA hold our auto-x.

This was in Westbury on old country rd at the bestbuy. I have an idea who would have told you in elmont. Whats the kids name with the swapped white e30 over there. I know him from when i attended hofstra. He got banned from the Hofstra Lots for setting up his own auto-x.

Ive been good man, I miss my first Breyton Kitted car. But yea, I bought Gary's car. Kept it for a year and than took a huge loss on it. It was a really sweet car though.

Both cars were really nice even though i have only seen them in pictures. Maybe you are just a good photographer.;)

I would just like to chime in and say one thing: I think someone mentioned HP/L before when we were talking about Hondas. This statistic literally means nothing. A 200 lb, 100 hp, 1 liter engine has no advantages over a 200lb, 100 hp, 2 liter engine. A more accurate statistic to use would be hp/lb or hp/mpg or something along those lines.

Although I find it funny that some BMW guys rag on Hondas when their engine design principles have many parallels (or at least they used to). The f20 in an s2000 is a high revving, low displacement, NA engine with a lot of power up top. The s54 (and many M engines) is a high revving, low displacement, NA engine.

Hondas can be good in their own right but they could never compare to an e30 in driving feel and affordability (for me at least, show me a Honda I could buy rust free and running for $700 and have it last a long time)

It was not a "security" Ruhtard, it was a Undercover Police Officer who has been staking the place and calling in marked cars to nab dumb-asses street racing, driving wreckles, and doing burnouts in a crowded parking lot. We had so many cars in this best buy parking lot he never would have been able to make it out even if he mowed over the crowd. So if you cant comprehend what is going on please dont post, because it makes you look like the "dumbass".

Hey all,

I have not been on r3v in a while, but this was a great meet for the last 5 + years that the BMW and VW community of Nassau county ny participated in. We would set up cruises done to Jones beach and we would go out there to hangout and check out peoples rides. Within the last few months it somehow spread onto B20Vtec and dumb-asses like the OP have been showing up and doing burnouts and racing right down the main strip with either single cam civics or busted ka 240's and even your standard 90 Camry.
