I hate hondas because of what people have done to them, they talk them up like they are ferarris, and put big dumb wings on them. They make a great car, if you want no excitment but reliability to take you to church on Sunday and bingo on Wednesday. If you try to put bigger mods on a stock motor it will blow up. I think civics are about as cool as an m10 318, alright with a few tasefull mods, but not fast and not for me.Leave a comment:

Think about it for a second, its a daily driver, which means you don't always need your max power every waking second maybe you want to go for MPG, so keep it in the low band, you don't need 600hp to go from stop at a red light to 35mph..... But if you do want some extrapower rev it to 6k. If you really wanted to you could program Vtec to kick in at 1.5k but that would kill your MPG. The car was designed to be a sporty DD, not a race car...Leave a comment:

Well for daily driving I wouldn't consider it a decent power band. Having to bring the car up to 6k for first and second isn't my idea of a nice power band. But who cares.what did you do there? clean the toliets? You obviously haven't driven many of the cars. Which honda revs to 9k stock anyway. The power band is just as usefull as any other. when you are getting on it and are bringing it towards redline where the peak power is and shift into the next gear your are still in the power band. It's not like you drop to 2k rpms and have no power. Keep thinking your wanna be truck motor is better.
you don't get it. I guess f1 cars are poo too because all there power is up high. why does it matter? a power band is still a power band, doesn't matter if it's at 3k or 16k.Leave a comment:

Fuck calling him a moron or a retard, I would have asked the cops to hold him still so I could kick him square in the nuts. And that would just be for the angel eyes and rims...Elitist Snob! If I hear the word enthusiast one more time I'm gonna puke.
It's getting kinda trendy to hate hondas, even though they make fucking awsome motors.
let's not forget how often we have to fix something on our precious elite BMWs
Oh no!, he's gonna make a bad name for us! Fuck what other people think!
His biggest mistake was posting here on r3vlimited.
I dare any of you to call him a moron or a retard in person.
And some of you guys are getting really fucking annoying with your prick attitudes!Last edited by Fidhle007; 01-11-2010, 01:17 PM.Leave a comment:

It pulls 100hp per liter at 9000rpm. What's the point of pulling all that power if you can only do it for a split second? Powerband matters.
I sold Hondas at the dealership. Si's and S2000's are quality cars, and probably very reliable. However, their powerband is poo.Leave a comment:

Lie, I own a Honda 09 Civic SI, and there are 3 BMW's in my garage with it, people who hate on Honda's have never driven them. I love BMW's but really Honda pulls 100hp per liter out of my SI engine, I don't care what anybody else thinks but for the price of the car that's impressive.Leave a comment:

lol that is true,
burnouts in a crowded parking lot is stupid, we get it. but as T Verdier said, you guys are a bunch or nut swinging prics.(nut swinging is mine). And no most honda guys don't hate on everything. just because you guys only see the wanna be idiots making a fool of them selves doesn't make all of them like that.
I would like to see you put 1k into a bmw 4 cylinder(not an m3) and come out with 300 reliable whp. No need to hate because your ignorant.Leave a comment:
