    new look for the weaves

i was messing around with some ideas today on how to clean up my weaves, im thinking about polishing the lips and painting the centers white...i did a little test area and i think it will look pretty good, unfortinatly if i do it im going to have to source 2 other weaves becouse im not about to polish some curbed rims for hours.. here is the test area, let me know what you guys think
edit: i know the paint is shitty i did no prep work it was just for a visual

I believe mtech2 weaves came this way, it looks good, although it'd be better on a larger wheel

i agree with the larger wheel,.,.,. a larger wheel would look better on my car but money is not there ha. i think the polished lips will look awsome at night becouse my car is shiny as hell and the rims are dull

im planing to do the same to my weaves
how did you polish the lip
are you gonna shoot it wiht a clear
my other option was to paint the lip silver and the "weave"? the stock grayish silver
also playing with metallic silver on the whole thing, I did my motorcycle rims with met silver and clear over it, and they look great
but like you , need to find two wiht out crub rash

the one in the picture is already stripped then the lip was sanded with 240,500,700 wet then polished... i cwill get a better finish when i do them all i was just using what i had in the garage. not sure on the clear yet i will probly test the spot and see how it looks. i will be doing the white in gloss though

Just jack up the back of your car and let it idle in gear as you hold sand paper to the spinning wheel.

This sounds like an awful lot of work for some 14" US weaves. . .

I totally get what you are saying. They should look good when they are done, no doubt.

i like this idea, although im not fully sold on the white for your car,
red i think id like to see a dark almost charcoal silver, GRAPHITE!
that'd also make the polished lips stand out a bit more.

i plan on going down this route, it'll be a nice step up from bcaps

That's what Andrew did when he polished the lips of his E21 wheels for his MkII Jetta, worked fine.

add red to the paint mix :?

really? i guess i just find a 14 or 15 wheels on our cars to look nice,
you could add spacers, and improve your stance at the same time.
