late/early model photo comparison

I was looking for something more along the lines of:


Where the cars are close together. I like this one but one car is closer than the other so it's hard to compare the size of the chassis. The early model almost looks smaller anyway?

I've tried looking online for some professional-esque photos but couldn't find any.

earlys have higher rear valances, so their rears seem smaller. And your comparing a black car in a dark room to a white car. The white car is much more contrasting to the room than the black car, so it stands out more, making it seem bigger.

I personally would take the left car, or any car with early tails and plastics all day over a regular late model.

Late models are slightly longer body wise. About 2-3 inches. I like both to be honest, but its harder to get a early model to look good than it is a late model. Late models have a lot more better things body wise than earlys beside the taillights. Late models have nice valances, and intergrated fogs expecially if you get the IS lips. Late models are always i motors and have better power options in some cases. That black car in the garage, id take over the white for some reason. Tails look better with short bumpers.

No. The higher rear arches mean you have to shorten a plastic rear bumper before installing on an early car, but the cars' overall lengths are the same.

Cars are the exact same length. Rear arches are just different, as is the tail light and lower rear valance area. Front end is all bolt on differences.

You can make an early model look good very easily.

Late models in 88 came with a seta 325e/i motor option, and in 91 they made the 4 cyl 318's.

Ok I was wrong about that.. My bad. I just did a swap on my last early model and it didnt come to me it could be the arches. But what I meant by it being harder is that it takes more for them to look better. You either have to get a euro bumper swap or do a plastic bumper swap or tuck them, when on a short bumper car you have it already done.

your backwards. startecs are early. mhws are late.
