I searched for the name of this car for the better part of 10 years; before google was popular lol Just knew it was as rare as martian cheese balls and was the only BMW with "flip-flop" lights

I remember my parents' rich Persian friend had one, black on tan, with the in-car phone. We thought it was soo cool.

Hate all you want, that car is a milestone in automotive technology, a triumph of brilliant engineering, a truly amazing car from a dark boring time...think about the other dreck that was on the road!

^ This! I actually saw a silver one today, goin the opposite direction on the I10, I love them, There's one I just found for sale for 5k, but it's an auto, and way out of my price range, lol

The used car lot right around the corner from me (Cherner in Tysons Corner VA for those in the area) has two of these. Both 1991 850i, one manual, one auto, each for about $20K. I like the look, but I don't know much about them.
