    Some CAD Drawings

Hey guys, I don't really post much because, currently, I do not own an E30...however, I plan to very soon. In the meantime, I troll these threads dreaming and living vicariously through your endeavors...

I am a senior in High School (can't wait...) and I have taken 3 years of Technical Drafting classes, granted it's only a single semester classes with classes, basically, every other day. So with this limited amount of time, and resources...we have AutoCAD 2005 LT...I was able to create the following. Beware, they are not perfectly "to scale" and there are multiple imperfections. For one, the line weight doesn't seem to transfer very well...along with the colors. The result of that is a messy/muddled image, just know that when viewed in CAD and plotted out they are fine.

First up is an Audi R15:

    Next is a Mclaren MP4-25

    Last, but certainly not least...an E30 M3:

This one is the one I expect to be the most picked apart, don't worry, I've done a lot of that myself...

If you have any tips, then by all means share them.

That stuff is really cool. I wish I had the resources and skill to create 3D drawings...

I have taking cad class for the last 3 years as well and I know how much time some complex drawings take.

Nice work. Were these done in inventor or cad?
You could probably make these in inventor a lot quicker

Yeah, there were times where my OCD was getting to me...there are still things I would like to change, but the semester is over so I'm out of luck there.

CAD. I've never used Inventor, only because I did these in a High School CAD class and we are rather limited in terms of software.

Thanks, I spent quite a while making those near perfect...yes, there are 35 bolts.
