        They're just normal E30 wipers.

The video is sped up, eh. I spliced together the 30 days of individual clips then sped up and compressed the film to match the length of the music.

The posted speed limit on the Parkway is 60 km/h (40 mph), but morning rush hour traffic usually flows at closer to 80 km/h (50 mph) when it's not completely jammed up and stopped.

Very much enjoyed it -what type of mount, camera, etc. if you don't mind me asking.
It's a PDR100 solid state recorder and bullet cam from Chasecam.com, sadly not the newer and much more expensive HD recorder though.

After destroying several mini-DV handicam tape cameras in the rally car, due to vibration and dust, I eventually bought this Chasecam unit because there are no moving parts. It records to a compact flash card, and we can plug our intercom into it so you can hear what we're saying in the car.

When we're not using it in the rally car, I run it in my street car whenever I'm driving around just in case anything interesting happens.

See stories, photos, and in-car video posted here from our most recent event three weeks ago at the Lanark Highlands Forest Rally.

        Here's a sample in-car stage:

              How long's your daily commute?

PM me for detailing services in the Longmont / Boulder Area in Colorado!

                It's just under 10 miles.

During the non-rushhour day, if I take the highway, it only takes about 15 minutes. But the highway is a stop-and-go parking lot during rushhour.

Using the Ottawa River Parkway instead adds maybe half a mile to the route, but the legal speed limit is slower. Compared to being stopped on the highway though, I much prefer the scenic route along the river.

Still, the morning commute can vary anywhere between a nice 20 minutes to an excruciating full hour depending on what nonsense all the other idiots are up to.

                  Great idea, nice execution.

My girlfriend, native to southern California, watched it with me and got the chills from the nice day - snow day - nice day transitions. I remember those well from my upbringing in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin.

March is often unpredicatable here in Ottawa, frequently going from nice day, to snow day, and back like that.

Earlier this March we got a lot of rain here in town, but on the same day at our cottage just an hour's drive north we had a huge dump of snow.

Three years ago, 2008, we had ridiculous amounts of snow in March. I went for a little drive around my neighbourhood...

If you like the rally footage, be sure to tune into SPEED tv this weekend for coverage of Targa Newfoundland, a five-day 2200 km tarmac rally.

SPEED channel will be airing the 2010 Targa Newfoundland episode at the following times:

                        Sunday, June 5 @ 2pm ET
                        Wednesday, June 8 @ 3am ET
                        Saturday, June 18 @ 4pm ET

                        http://www.speedtv.com/programs/targa-newfoundland/

Martin and I got lots of mention on that show, including in-car footage of our now-infamous "FMG Veronica!" moment...
