    How was this done?

I found this pic online and thought it looked really different and cool. I was hoping one of you experts would be able to fill us all in on the process of turning a regular photo into this, using photoshop. Thanks guys

Still waiting for a 2dr Calypso to come up to the auction block, PM me if you know of any

That looks more like Illustrator, or a vector program that uses shapes instead of pixels. Someone did a good job, a good or bad vector pieces really is all in the detail. If you were to do that in photoshop one of the easier ways is basically do it like you would in Illustrator using the pen tool to make those custom shapes or blocks of color. For example the bumper and bumper surrounds.

I'm not exampling it in a simple way really look up some tutorials or methods on making "vector" images from photos. I love vectors.

      I am going to agree.

It would take a lot of time, but I would use pen tool to create all the shapes. I would try to keep similar colors on a single layer so you could just fill a certain layer, otherwise that looks like hundreds of layers.

All in all, not hard, just time consuming.

LEarn to use pen tool, my hands down fav tool in photochop. :)

i made that picture. it was done in photoshop like you thought. all you do is select the section you want, then 'fill' it with a color, and then use 'stroke' to make the outline. takes some time but the outcome is great. heres two more i did:

i have the full res of this one too.

It looks 100x better when the background is left original as in the first picture.
