those of the truly-old-school persuasion may know that there was a factory-built twin-engined (dual 1.8 16v) scirocco built by VW in the 80s... found an ad for it once while browsing ancient microfiche copies of motor trend @ the library while i was in high school (what can i say, i've had this disease for a long time).

Why, because you don't understand the way it works? When the two engines are seperate like that, the power is not cumulative, so really the only thing increasing the Vehicles speed is the fact that each engine, is only moving around half a sciroccos weight. So each engines effort is significantly reduced. Please don't call me a retard, it didn't get you anywhere. BTW i'm an advanced physics major.
