Someone might fix it. I looked at an M3 locally a few months back. The guy had put it into the Armco at Mid-Ohio - not real bad - just a mangled fender. What was bad though was that he told me that when he got it, he took it in for service and they found that the entire driveline was sitting about 1-1/2" forward of where it should be. He claims he had this "fixed". Still wanted like 14k for this M3 with 177k miles on it.

He wound up selling it on eBay. Big surprise.

Yeah... I know a guy who spun his E46 M3 at Nelson's Ledges, hitting all 4 sides, tearing off the front and rear bumper, hitting hard enough that he bent a tie rod and god knows what else, and somehow managed to limp it home. He is currently in business at a body shop/indy mechanic so he just had it fixed up on the quite. Saw it on autotrader for $45k a month or two later, no mention of the accident...

Ha... and actually, here it still is:

        2003 BMW M3

This car is in absolutely mint condition
No its not... front bumper has been replaced twice, rear replaced once, and you gotta look real close to see the tape marks.

" . . . absolutely mint condition . . . " so says he. And I am guessing he repaired it himself so it will never show up on CarFax.
