No love for the new DTM, it's not even a true BMW in my eyes, and has NOTHING to do with any roadgoing car like the original DTM cars.

It's great for BMW that they are doing good with it after doing so bad in F1 for so long.

New DTM is basicly NASCAR with both left and right turns. The only thing that isn't standardized is the engine and body paneling. Cool and all but I still want to see current german cars with a roll cage going at it full tilt.

I went to the last race. It was fun. Check out some of the sounds from T1 that I recorded:

As far as I know the DTM cars were never really similar to the roadgoing car.

Always had more power, different suspensions, and other differences

But pre 1992 they keeped the original chassie, engine and suspension pickup points. Now the only thing original is the engine and body panels.

Dude that is fucked up, I do see your point that the cars are nothing like the cars that they are pretending to be but the racing is fun and exciting to watch. I would say the cars are more like a front engine F1 car with a body.

I do love the old DTM cars more then these but I find watching these new DTM cars race to be even better then F1.

This is the real DTM BMW

Indeed... this new DTM is a total bullshit compared to the real one back in the 80 and early 90
