Plastic bumper with '87 "is" front valance

The only bumpers that work with the 87is valance are the huge diving boards. Not even euro bumpers work with it.

Not true. I used to have pics, but I can't find them. You can mount them together.

It can be made to fit right. I'm telling you, I had pics of it, and it looked just fine.

Ah. I stand corrected. I guess it's the same thing as fitting plastics to an early model - it must be modified a bit to fit correctly.

Yes it can be made to fit, not it wont ever look right.

The bow of the plastic bumper vs. the early airdam are completely different, and don't mate up well at all.

Jordan is right. I almost did this because I didnt want to get the updated valance, and didnt want to give up my iS spoiler. You need to modify the sheet metal valance behind the spoiler, or modify the fog light buckets of the spoiler. Even flush with the bumper, the sides stick into the wheel wells and need to be trimmed. I didnt feel like putting the time into it, and wasnt keen on the look of it.

I have also seen pics. so its been done before.. hell, people put e36 front valances on e30s..
