    Want to try a lil photo shopping.

    So I like this photo shopping stuff goin on and I keep coming back to this section. How would one get into photo shopping? Give me some noob starting off stuff.

    First...buy Photoshop lol. I learnt everything on my own. Basically, try and play around with all the tools first. What I first did is start a project without even think about it being too difficult, then that way it forces you to figure out how to use new tools as you go. At some point you'll get stuck, and in that case you use the interweb, search online how to do specific tasks or use specific tools. There are so many resources online, you can literally almost search anything and someone's asked how to photoshop it. Example...changing wheel colour. Just search it online and you'll begin to learn to use tools and what they do.

    Hope that helps a bit.

      Once you get photoshop you can pretty much find any how-to you want on youtube. Basically what he said! ^^

        Edit: I actually just got Photoshop after using Paint.Net exclusively so I'll be teaching myself also...

          Use pixlr.com as a starter for learning photoshop, it has the basic necessities of learn PS.

          When you go to pixlr click the advanced link for the photoshop style editing.

            heh, yea, get photoshop....and theres a guy on YouTube that runs good tutorials called "you suck at photoshop," that should help with understanding navigating most of the program....

              I have yet to find a free photo editing software that feels similar to Photoshop. There are so many differences. I would take a photo class if you can at school.

                            I used to do magic trim on ms paint by erasing one pixel at a time. Took me hours to do the most simplest work. :)
