jpg or gif of large web page

Help out a computer-illiterate R3Ver: I have a html document that extends vertically over several screens, so you need to scroll down to see the whole thing. A couple years ago, I took a screen shot that captured the entire file in a jpg or gif, but I can't remember how I did it. Obviously a screen capture only grabs what's visible at the time.

No doubt this is dead simple - Any advice would be appreciated.

There are extensions to your browser that will let you do that. What browser do you use

you could take two seperate screenshots and paste them end-to-end, alternatively, you could print it to PDF.

            In Windoze -

CTRL and the Prnt Screen Button together. Then open paint or any photo related application and choose Paste or just press CTRL and V.

            Done!

I think you mean Alt+ prnt scrn :p but no that doesn't do it either. That takes a cap of the active window in it's current view. What OP wanted was to be able to cap a whole webpage without having to scroll down and take mulitple shots and put them together

you could always use the zoom function (typically ctrl and minus/plus) to fit the whole page in a single screen

I believe Chrome has some PDF printing functionality built in; or you can use CutePDF.
