lol.. I have an '06 sr50r too.
Have had it for a while with just basic stuff done.. LV pipe, ECU flash, HID's, water trap, and a ballistic battery..
But I also have this sitting in my garage waiting for it:
Take a wild guess.. it's definitely not chinese. I paid hefty duties/import fees to get it here from Germany last year.
Been wanting to do the swap but have been spending too much money on a Polini GoPed lately.. and my e30 of course

How much money do you want to spend on it? It's just like dumping money into anything else.
Stock SR50R -> ECU in development mode -> LV or similar pipe -> CVT restrictor removed = ~55MPH top speed. You can hold 55/56 on flats and hit 60-64 going down hill. 45-50 up steep hills is no problem.
There's all sorts of crazy stuff you can do to them.
Cheaper stuff - 70cc kit + vforce3 (or comparable) reeds + FPR + larger throttle body + swap primary gears + multivar + upgraded clutch + LV or MHR pipe = ~70MPH
Pricey stuff - PFI Kit or MHR 86cc kits with carb setup + gearing + CVT tuning to suit = ~80MPH+
I'm going with an engine swap. PFI is cool on an MHR 86cc, but cost to power ratio isn't worth it IMO. Plus I could make 40+HP on the engine I chose. You're pretty much tapped out around 18HP with a PFI kit on an 86cc top end.
