                Hm.

Pshopping a set of wheels that are coincidentally in the group buy section (and just so happen to be the same brand as Josh's potential wheels you spent so much time flaming him for), when your koseis are doing just fine "being round and holding air"?

Uh, Heeter? I believe you just pwned yourself.

last time i checked, josh's car is only his daily driver, and i'm making a car fit into a soloII class. it actually does matter what wheel i get... he could roll on bottlecaps, who cares

you want to crucify me because i want to see what they'd look like on my car? give me a break, stop trying so hard... you might hurt yourself

Dude, I'm not trying to crucify you - I'm just trying to show you that you say one thing, and go against it in another posting.

Wheels aren't just about being round and holding air - like you said, yours have to fit into a certain class. And yes, these would not require spacers like Josh's would. But to each his own, and if he's looking for a new set of wheels, let him.

Scott, do I have a fucking kid? No.

Do I have college expenses? Yes. Am I switching from dropping thousands of dollars on track events to AutoX? Yes. Is it more affordable to switch a few things to STX-spec and keep it the same, minus replacing tires once a season, than to beat on the car on the track and spend $400 a weekend, or try to slowly build the car to DSP competitiveness? Yes. Heaven forbid I am interested in how wheels will look and spend $500 on them when I'll make $3500 after taxes this summer and should have FREE tution and books next year if I keep my scholarship.

I'm using logic and financial sense in my decisions and am intelligent. Josh has the decision-making ability of a teenager and is fucking retarded. Curse me for being one of a few people trying to help him be more logical. Me and others laugh at that kid's choices.

Heeter. Before you go off on your little tirades, put that Purdue education to good use.

You said "wheels need to be round and hold air, besides that who gives a fuck?" That was the statement you made. Nowhere in there does it say "this only applies to new fathers, and excludes anyone needing to change their wheels to fit the proper autox class."

You made a blanket statement, and in the same day contradicted it with one of your convenient "exceptions."

Wheels are one of the largest visual and physical changes you can make to your car. There are an emormous amount of reasons to change them - from sheer aesthetics to cost of tires to better handling to class qualification to selling the rims you have and getting something cheaper - the list goes on.

In any case, you have to remember that people are going to make choices on their own, whether you agree with them or not. Just because Josh has a new baby doesn't mean his life is over. And since he sold his current rims for $600, he's not going to be out that much in the end. If he's level minded and has been saving money for whatever reason, he won't even feel the dent.

Just TRY and think outside that like box - er, cubicle - for once and see that maybe, JUST maybe, you aren't ALWAYS right. ;)
