i agree with this a lot ^ on my DD/autox i am using ESM reps and love them. im not really looking to defend my decision for them against BBS but i will say that knowing what i know now about the driving i would be doing in the past 2 years i am very glad to have gone this route, ive made eight 1000 mile trips through dirt roads, new england winters with snow and salt, I95 through NYC (pot hole central) caught people trying to steal my wheels two separate times, autocross with them, and have had the great displeasure of hearing rocks kick up into them while driving around town. i think the whole real vs rep debate really does come down into what you have planned for your vehicle and if you have the budget or the heart to allow that kind of abuse to a set of wheels that cost more than some of us paid for our cars. would i like to have real BBS? you bet ya, but would i slowly die a little inside every time it snows, a rock chips them, someone leaves my car on cinder blocks while im deployed Etc and i have to shell out an entire pay check or save up all over again...yes. i would die inside. so until i get another car that is to be my beater, i will not buy wheels that cost more than my car. to all of you that have "real" wheels, i hope that the world is nice to you and your car.

I did too. I stopped cause I got busy and didnt check r3v that much. I'm glad I got god convo out of this. Regardless if this went way off topic and didnt accomplish what I intended to, at least I got some good out of it.

I completely forgot about this. I didn't think it was much of an argument. More of a discussion. It stayed pretty mature for r3v, actually...

Just asking because I've seen that design on lots of older BMW's. They must have all been 14's. Thanks for the info.

Because of the fact there 15 inch basket weaves which were never offered in the US besides the different offset IX wheels.

Not true. Reps are often avail in other sizes not originally offered by the OEM.

I'm not sure if this is about quality, fakin till you're makin, the wheel market, or peoples moms. But my .02 is the following: Buy what you want and get what you pay for typically, and I mean that in more ways than just quality. If the "real" wheel market market is suffering well, thats the how the economy works I guess, so time to up or change your game or lower prices, NOT complain about fakes. If people are getting equal respect for fake wheels that look just like your real wheels mayybeee you're the fool for dropping so much on them, not that its all about looks though, I understand the need for quality. It's not 100% fair to say people can just save the money because we don't know other individuals monetary situations, for some its completely impractical to do so. My bad analogy is that people euro bumper convert their cars why? Because it costs a couple hundo on ecs and it's a couple thousand to import. So there's people with fake euro looking cars getting mad love because it looks good, and that's completely fine because it does look good. I'm sure I contradicted myself in there somewhere but just my opinions and views on the topic
