                non 3D-expert question: how far off is something that's rendered so accurately like, away from being able to be fabricated?

                Is it a huge stretch to generate schematics or whatever to say, fab the fenders, for example off that 3D wireframe?

                    That's ridiculous, I use solidworks, pro-engineer, alias, and 3d studio max all the time an I still have no idea how he did that so well. I was up all night modeling headlights for a vhicle I'm designing for a class.

                      No shit. I'm a solidworks guy, and what he's done is amazing. If that was done to scale, it would be a very useful tool. It doesn't sound like it is though.
