As odd as it may be. I like your car with the mismatched panels! More low and you could pull it off very well.

I think it's cool to a point, but the whole goal for this car is resale and most buyers wouldn't appreciate the mismatch. More low will most likely not happen because any more and id need a fender pull to make it work.

if you plan on reselling finding paint matched panels or paint matching will get your a much higher profit. Usually when I see rattle canned e30s you just get low balled all day.

I agree. I'm worried about how well the color will match though. Any experience with color matching without a paint code, as the current paint isn't a bmw color?

So you have no idea what color it is? What color label is on the strut tower? Looks like delphin grey or lachsilber to me. Paint matching without a code is difficult especially if your doing diy and have no experience.

The paint isn't origional bmw paint. I suspect the fender is delphin but the rest of the car was repainted at some point and I don't think the color is a factory color. I was going to take it to a local paint shop who got the code for my lapis blue mazda and see if they have any way of making match

if you took it to a paint shop they have a better chance of matching. Usually its going to be slightly off because fresh paint.
