Pic Request: Black 'is' lip spoiler on Bronzit Car

    Hey guys,
Its going to cost me $300.00 to paint the 'is' lip spoiler by itself, and I've just had it in my room waiting to get my car painted, at which point I had planned on getting the splitter done as well. Well, I'm getting really impatient and I just want to get the thing on my car! I was thinking of doing a nice coat of black trim paint to match my newly re-painted bumper trim...

Anyone have a picture of what I'm talkin' about, or can someone Pshop it for me so I can get a visual before I attempt it?

    Thanks in advance!

    $300!!!!

I was quoted $200 to do my valance and a fender.

Anyway - in my sig, the car actually has a bronzit valance and the rest of the car is Sterling Silver.

$300??? Where did you take it, a Ferrari bodyshop? That's fucking outrageous. It's going to cost me less than $200 to have my whole front airdam stripped and repainted.

Just paint it yourself, and go with black, it looks really good.

Friend got an iS lip painted for $20 at a body shop. I can't imagine spending $300 on a fucking lip.

Yeah, tell me about it. THe shop that I took it to is the local BMW dealer's source for all of its repairs and paint jobs. I had planned on taking it to them when I'm ready for a full respray and some minor door ding removal and I trust they will do a good job...for $2000.00 they'd better do a good one.

But there's no way I'd pay $300.00 for just the front lip spoiler. Its a waste of money for sure. And I'd be totally screwed when I hit that inevitable opossum on the freeway and my now-$450.00-piece-of-plastic gets ripped right off the car.

i picked up my spoiler at 7:30 at the dealership, went to homeDepot, started spraying the flat black at 8:30, installed it at 10:00 after a couple of coats, put tire shine on it and the reast of my trim= AMAZING and very very easy
