It's funny that people say they don't drift well, let's go over the pros: lotsa low end torque, great balance and controlability, lightweight, rwd, cab forward design, and a sunroof to stick your hands out of! check it out!

Ive driven a couple of 240s, in various different power/suspension combinations. In any form, that car is a ridiculous unfair advantage for drifting. The suspension and weight distribution are far better suitable for the car than an e30. Aftermarket support for drifting in those cars is also abundant, which makes it 2-0 for Nissan.

And all of that is exactly why when I get back from Germany I'm parking the turbo 325i, selling the 318i, and building a 240sx.

As for the F&F3 movie reference.... I hope that some good will come out of the movie. At least in Florida we are having a hard time finding enough interest for sanctioned events. Maybe out of all of those who come out of the movie theater, some will be interested in doing this the right way.

I know a guy that swaped a skyline engine (dont remember engine code) in his 240. It's a nice looking car and is quick, but they still feel kinda cheaply made to me..Can deff. drift like crazy in that car though..

Well, the 240sx was never to compete with the e30. They are in two different classes.... the 240sx is a lower model car. However performance wise, there is much more available to the 240sx.

The engine you are talking about should be the RB25DET.... could be the RB26 but your friend would have to be a baller to have one.

Looked it up, its a Series 2 rb25det out of an R33 Skyline..We had an arguement that if I swapped a s50 in my car that he would still pull.. yea right...Then we argued about swapping that engine in my e30, but they wiegh alot.
Now I will hopefully be boosting my M20 late this summer to give him a run, how do you think a 2.7 stroked m20 with a small amount of boost would do against the aformentioned 240?

I dont believe an S50 would walk on an RB25. My car on 7psi kept up with an SR20 at 10psi.... and those engines handle boost much easier than m20s do.

The opening from the first vid was some spliced pieces of the Pirates of the Carribean sound track and the song during the drifting is some bad rapping I made with a friend as a joke.

I'm not sure what events I'll be at yet. I just know I'll be looking for stuff to do while in Spartanburg. Is the Southern Fried Slide a DG Trials event? Keep me updated so I can atleast check it out, if not participate.

Right now I have 17 year old stock suspension, so hopefully I'll get that taken care of this summer.

The track is pretty good, but they're looking for something bigger. I'll be back there this weekend for some more practice.

I was one of the first people on american shores to be into drift before it blew way outta proportion and lost touch with it's roots to the point where no one can give a correct answer of it's true purpose and origin. My dad was a half white half japanese soldier stationed in okinawa during the mid 80's before i was born, got heavy into the touge scene that was growing fast over there at the time, and tought me all he knew when I was growing up. My original plan was to build a ps13 with red top SR20 with mild tuning, but the cliche the car had turned into made me sick. Drove my first e30 and bought it, had 3 so far and I definetly like to slip my angle. That shit was so in a nutshell it makes me mad....

"Having won more road races than any other model in history, the E30 M3 is considered by many to be the world's most successful road race car." - Simply put, E30s kick ass.
