good quality, gotta commend nikon for creating such a great camera. i'll agree with everyone, nice pics, but you gotta work more and more on composition.

if you want my honest critique, it follows the colon:

                  1st:
chain sprocket: Hella dope, i love it, great tonal range, good execution, nice usage of bokeh.
but it's kinda center heavy. Sure it leans to the right a bit, but it's right smack dab in the middle of the frame when it comes to the vertical plane. Also, i like how the focus is on the letters along the chain, but a little less depth of field wouldn't hurt.

                  2nd:
                  Dog and ball.
Good portrait, you definitely bumped the iso up on this one, right? a little bit of noise, but nothing that can't be helped.
You've got a bit of edge tension to the left, why is it that the red pillow is cut right there, again your subject is very center heavy this time. Pull the frame to the left so more of the pillow is in frame, that way the lines of the pillows lead to the right where the dog is. The frame and ipod and table alltogether is a bit distracting, detracts from the dog because i keep reading right.

                  3rd:
                  Bike silhouette.
I'll be straight honest, i'm not a fan of this one at all. Not to sound like a complete jerk, but i think it was poorly executed. nice idea and all, i know i've done the same, but a few things here and there would've saved this shot.
Get the car in the bg out of the way, it's little things like that which differentiate between a photo and a snapshot. The background is already overexposed, so overexpose it just a tad bit more to get more detail out of the bike, or vice versa, underxpose the bike more so it's a pure silhouette and there's no detail in the silver area toward the middle. Framing needs work, and your horizon line is off all together. Step to the right a few paces and shoot the bike exactly from the side, it's making it feel imbalanced.

                  4th:
                  Audi at night
Great exposure selection, colors are beautifully enriched, was this bumped in saturation at all in pshop?
Edge tension again to the right, the greys/blacks/whites really would've offset the color of the car, but then there's some green on the left from the island, pretty distracting. scoot it over to the right more so it looks like the car has a destination. upon further inspection of the rear window, at quick glance, it looks like the window is lowered due to the reflection of the car in the bg. i understand sometimes you just can't fix everything, but i'm just pointing it out for future referance. the trash in the bg is not noticeable at first, but then you notice it and it ruins such a great shot.

                  5th:
                  couple with roses.
i love it, it's really emotional and very powerful. probably your strongest of the bunch. but scoot the camera to the left just a little bit, so the vase on the left isn't cropped out, and the roses/frame is kissing the right side just enough. i know for a fact that this one was pshopped, and it's a classic idea, i love it.

                  6th:
                  rsx
i'll say it now, i generally dislike car photography, it's just so boring. With that said...
Cool shot, i love how the lines on the right curve to the car, giving it a feel of motion. you might have wanted to avoid the grey wall to the left and get the rsx up against the brick wall. with the reflection on the right side from whatever industrial area is in the bg, it would've given the car enough reflection to pop against the wall.

                  7th:
                  Cityscape
you just missed the light, i'll say about 15-30 minutes.
too much negative space at the bottom, i want less black, and more sky, that way you can really see the color transition from the cyan to the green, to the grey, to the orange and finally to the black. it would've helped if you went into photoshop and took out all the lights in the buildings, it would've definitely given it a more distinct feel.

                  8th:
                  pink rose
Typical flower shot. Shots like these are actually usually only successful in either a studio setting, or outdoors.
This was shot indoors, how can i tell? you zoomed in and used onboard flash. If i'm wrong, i'll eat my words on this critique. Great use of depth of feild, but, the flower's too closed off. i want to see something inside, or on the cusp of a petal. Because of the onboard flash, the colors become drab and mute, maybe you should bump up the saturation in pshop, or desaturate it a bit more for a ghastly kinda look. just my thoughts

                  9th:
                  Midnight Streets.
I remember taking these kinds of pics when i first got a camera. Set the tripod and snap away.
Next time, use a smaller aperture, like f/22 or something. Don't be afraid to get loooong exposures, thats one of the perks of a dslr. It'll allow the lights in the shot to get that starry look, and that's usually very pretty. also at night with long exposures, you'll want to set your iso low, that way you won't get so much noise. look at the brick building in the middle, look closely at the bricks. they're not burgundy, are they? i can see some yellows, and greens, that's digital noise, and can be remedied by using lower iso's.

                  10th:
                  Checkmate.
What is that big black thing on the left. It's so distracting. i wanna see more of the tattooed fellow right there, and you cropped off too much of the chess board at the bottom. the beer bottle could go too, it looks like it's coming out of the horse and tower's top end. the sand vase on the right as well.
what i'm trying to say is, simplicity in this shot would definitely won it over, there's nothing wrong with a busy shot, but only if it all comes together for one central theme.

You definitely suffer from composition, and i'm definitely the same way. But with a little bit of experience, i've learned to notice all of that before i hit the shutter. i still make the same mistakes no doubt, but it's always a learning experience.

Some general guidance rules, look up the "rule of thirds" it's a standard in beginning photography, it's a rule that alot of photographers live by, and it's a rule alot of photographers live by to break. Generally, that rule will help with your photos tenfold.
When you're taking a shot, it's always easy to recognize your subject and want to capture it immediately, but take a second glance, not at your subject, at the edges. is there a vase sticking out ever so lightly, and if it is, will it help the photo, or make it look busier. Do i really need that random hand floating out of nowhere?
f/2.8 or f/3.5 is cool looking, but it's not always the best. Depth of field is fun, but it's also dangerous.

Just keep shooting, that's what photography's all about. I'm always learning something new, don't be afraid to explore different angles. Think to yourself, "This item is really cool right here, but if i shift my camera over here, would it still be interesting?"
You're digital now, don't be afraid to hit that shutter, so shoot and shoot and shoot till you start getting your save/throwaway ratio better and better.

I just got home from work - dead tired; and actually took the time to read through it, scroll back up to the image and check out what you mentioned.

You didn't come off as a dick at all, this is what I wanted. This was my intention, getting feed back to improve for the next shoot. Speaking of the next shoot - what do you feel about these. I took them a few days ago.

I went out with my girlfriend today to grab some Sushi, and ended up taking some pictures (spur of the moment thing).

It was my first time shooting a person. It's a lot harder than I thought it would be.

                    9. Saw this as we drove by. I had to take a picture.

Thanks for all the previous feedback.
