I saw a Formula D event this summer.... That shit was amazing. That is why it is still here.. Seeing a car slide a full turn on a oval track at 70-80 mph in tandem...is fucking SWEET.

whats not so amazing is the dumb ass kids who try to drift in the 240 that mommy and daddy bought them and end up throwing it off the side of my beloved canyons(one less drifter) thus drawing attention of the hated police..

This is very true. I have a friend that is into drifting, but he only does it at organized events in his caged widebody kouki S14 (full race car). There are too many retards when it comes to that sport that gives it a bad name. It takes amazing driving skill to slide cars like good drifters do...many of these teenibopper drifters don't have any...

street racing in general has drawn attention to the canyons. it doesnt matter if someone is drifting in them or not, someone is still gonna be pissed that people are driving fast.

also, your still able to throw your car off the side of your beloved canyons even if your trying to keep your car straight.

whether your drifting or not, going off the side of the canyon always comes down to driving skill. 'least thats the way i see it.

YOU could call me whatever you wanted I'd be there that shit is awesome! I know how to drive and I'm not the ones tossing cars off cliffs, besides at one point or another everyone on here that can drive was just learning so keep in mind that it takes practice.

I tried twice and then i was like fuck this im str8. Fun though i aint gonna lie.
I'm glad you guys had fun, but just to clear up some confusion, stretched tires on a 16x9 is going to cause more understeer than a normal tire setup would.

That's not true, if you have stiffer sidewall tires in front and some all-season crap tires on the back it's not necessarily going to understeer. Driver input determines how much understeer ANY car gets.

If you have a non-stagger 16x9 setup with different stiffness on sidewalls, it won't just "cause" understeer. Also, spring rates play a big role in understeer characteristics.

No... Jon is definetly right. Stretched tires cause more understeer. I know this from experience and I know that Jon knows this from experience.
