READ THIS before making a photoshop request

Although some are total gods at p-shop, there are still some things that will make the job a lot easier. If at all possible, please try to follow these guidelines. I know I, and others, will appreciate it.

Please only post if you have:
Shots of your car greater than 640/480 pixels
Decent lighting (colors not washed out, nor too dark to see)
    As little grain as possible
    and most importantly, GOOD ANGLES.

For example, if you want to see how wheels and suspension will look on your car, don't post a shot down on the front driver's side corner from 20 feet away. You won't be able to tell a damn thing.

I know it seems simple, but for the following "common" requests, these are the best angles:

    Wheels - Side
    Suspension - Side
Color Change - Any angle that shows a lot of paint is good, providing the light doesn't wash it out.
Shadowline - Side (though this one is easier to do on a less-desireable angle than wheels, for example)
    iS front Lip - Front
Body Kits - A good shot from the front, the side, and the rear. If you want something "pulled" off another car, and stuck on yours, try to match the angle of the other car.

Keeping those above details in mind, will greatly enhance the ease, and realism of whatever photoshop that's done for you.

SIGNATURE PICTURE SIZE RESTRICTIONS: 600x225 pixels
    AVATAR SIZE RESTRICTION: 80x100 pixels

EDIT: PS gurus, if you have something to add, feel free to reply.

A great tutorial site that shows you how to do most obvious things like slamming your car and adding new wheels.

A great link, helped me alot! I learned how to do this...

New wheels, FMIC, lights, color, front and rear aprons and splitter, 350Z door handle, Nismo badge on trunk and IIRC, and the slam. Still needs work, but my best.
      Reminiscing...

I think it would help a few of us if you added the size and file size limits for the avatars and sig images. I know I don't know them off the top of my head, so I just guess......lol.

        Thanks. :)

          I agree with the angles.....
if you want a picture done, make sure angle A) is as close to picture B) as you
can find it. I hate having to track stuff down to make a shot cleaner. I think most
ppl here who PShop do too.

Not too hard to change the perpective of a wheel or something if you know how, just cant do it to some angles other wise they look all pixely :borg:

Wheels with lots of dish look REALLY weird from some angles to others.

Agreed with bimmer, plus I had some guy the other day
that had a semi--side view of some M-Tech parts and
wanted them on a rear view of the car, which isn't
                totally realistic......

I dunno, just erks me when people give me bad stuff to
work with and expect a Dali rendering, that's all......
It reminds me of trying to get realistic vectors in MS Paint......

                  I have a friend that collects Dali's.
Not often (in the car world) that name comes up.

All that they might get is a Dali style pic
