I don't see exactly what's so appealing about these wheels? i'm not knocking them, but is there something that i'm missing?

They are light, offered in 8" wide, and directly fit the E30.

And they fit BBKs perfect and cheap...and 225/50s should fit perfect with on a 15.

The 8 inch ers would be @ 12 mm closer to tube( @ 1/2")......figure in the et 20 vs et 27 and youd end up 5 mm closer to tube......I dont even have the 5 mm(1/5") room as it is. Maybe the RA1 's run wider than street 225's.
This is my concern as well. I just received my 15x8 et20 Slips and they're dang close to the strut tube. I should have 225 r-comps (though they're Advans, not RA-1) within the next week, so I'll post back up about any spacer needs. I'm sure alignment settings will affect this as well, though I don't plan to run crazy camber up front.

There was a GB on 2002faq.com and it was closed 6 weeks ago. I believe that some members of that board would still be interested in those wheels. They also fit perfectly the 2002s with Massive brake kit.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

They work. with 225 hoosiers they just kiss the strut tubes so I use a 3mm spacer. any street tire or RA1 would fit fine.

Yup. My set on 225 Advan r-comps fits just fine.

all you guys running 225's on the 16x8's, are your fenders rolled? for those of you without rolled fenders, what size tire are you running?

225/45/16 falken 452s on a 60/40 kit, it has settled nicely after those pictures. I rolled my fenders a little but I don't think it would be absolutely necessary for a daily with a nice stiff suspension, my car rubs the inner fender a little if I have weight in it.

where are you guys buying 15x8 slips?

the only places i look only have them in 5 lug.

i am also planning to run 225/50/15's .. are spacers needed?

the group buy through 18 racing was either 15 or 16s. try contacting them to see if you could get some.
