Not exactly. smoked turn signals make the front bumper more seamless. From far away, the whole front bumper trim piece will look black. Sometimes, it's a really nice look.

Use a technique called "quick masking" .. press "Q" then use the paintbrush to paint the areas you want selected..

black to hide, white to reveal. It will paint in a transparent red color
