    PS question

how do yall lower cars? ive been lassoing the body w/o the wheels, then a i copy and paste the car and bring the new body lower. but the old one is still there behind it. how do i get rid of the original and keep the backround the car is in?

when you lasso the car, only lasso the underside, then on top, lasso the entire rest of the pic, like so:

then copy that selection and paste it in a new layer, and drop it down by pressing V and tapping the down arrow. Final product:

PS: I use Quick Mask rather than lasso for cleaner lines... but quick mask can be kinda confusing for a beginner.

One trick that I will commonly use is I will duplicate the pic and then I will turn off the original layer. On the duplicate layer I will erase everything below the body. (i.e. the street, the tires). Then I will turn the original layer back on and go back to the duplicate layer and drag it down.
