Finally... As of today I am in the club!

DSLR Arrived today. I went with the Rebel XTi for my first DSLR. Last couple of shots with my point and shoot below :) Not too bad for a point and shoot. I got the kit with the 18-55 and now need to learn the ins and outs of the camera. I also have the follow coming. All in the mail somewhere.
    • Extra Batteries
    • 2x 2gb CF Card
    • Vertical/Battery Grip
    • Bag for Camera and 17" Laptop
    • Canon 50mm Lens
    • UV Filters/Protection For Kit and 50mm Lens
    • Tripod

Really excited. Tomorrow I will play around and post up totally random pics... Just simply wasting time! :devillook

I was looking at those for my wife a couple of weeks ago. They seem nice, but she liked the "feel" of the Nikon D40x better, so we went with one of those.

Nice purchase! I like my XTi, and the battery grip makes it even better. Enjoy the 'nifty fifty', that lens is a fantastic little piece to learn on. Simple, sharp, and cheap!

What bag did you get? Im looking for a bag to fit my cam/laptop in.

Can't wait to see some first shots! I'm interested in a little write up/review from your perspective. I just recently settled for my cheap SLR wannabe, (Kodak Easyshare Z712) before I move to an SLR.

              Fastpack 350 for daily stuff.

Little big for a daily pack so I will grab a fastpack 100 here soon.

Good purchase! I bought my XTI about a year ago, and LOVE it! I know the price on those things just came down quite a bit too!
